Mickey Ears Birthday Card

My nephew turned one on March 1st and his birthday party is tomorrow.  He is having a Mickey themed birthday party so I decided to make him a card that looks like the Mickey ears you can get at Disney World.  I had a little bit of a ruff time with this card.  I don't have a Disney\Mickey cart so I used my gypsy to weld circles and ovals together from George and Basic Shapes to make it.  Through lots of trial and error I finally came up with a version I could live with.  I think it looks much better in person.   Hope you like it!!

Here is what I used:

Cart- George and Basic shapes and Doodletype
paper- Bazzill
ribbon- black satin-Papertrey Ink and the skinny black ribbon is from my stash
Disney embellishment
Font- LD walt from lettering delight
Other- white gel pen, ATG, Gypsy

My hat and the card

  8. I found you thanks to MOMO. I live in SC too & haven't found many other craft bloggers from here, so glad I found you. I've been to your blog before because I remember your cute Mickey ears card. I don't know why I didn't follow then unless it was one of those times that Blogger was being uncooperative.
